Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who is mainly seen in Hindi movies. Padukone is among the top-paid actors in India And her awards comprise three Filmfare Awards. Time Magazine named Padukone one of the 100 most influential individuals with influence around the world in 2018. They also awarded her The TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is the child of tennis champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens she was a badminton player in national level championships but left her professional career to work as a fashion model. Soon after, she was offered movie roles. She started her acting career in the year 2006, playing the lead character in The Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in the double part as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) which was her first Bollywood release. This film won Padukone her the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone's starring role on the film Love Aaj Kal was well appreciated, however it was soon followed by an unlucky setback.
