Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She also has produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. As a young girl she was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mother was a movie lover and urged her to enjoy films when she was a kid. Paula was a participant in co-curricular classes at her school, and was a drama enthusiast. She was an excellent actor and loved performing with her friends. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actor decided that acting was her chosen career. She attended the University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and loved her time there. The program was an award for a PBS project for three months to shoot documentaries. After completing the project with success, she began working as an assistant in TV documentary production. Then she moved on to producing documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of being an actor. She started her career in acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star for the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she has appeared on many TV and film series.
