April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is one of a few female players of beach volleyball that be able to do so. Alix Klineman, taking part for the very first time in Tokyo's Olympics, will try to earn her third medal. Ross is determined to earn more than her initial Olympic medal. The next time she has the chance to do so at the age of 39. But she's confident top awards can be achieved. Ross was reported on NBC Boston as saying that if you play your highest, and even do well, we'll get the gold. In addition, I'll try the chance to have chances. Ross born in 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started participating in athletics at Newport Harbor High school. In Newport Harbor High School, she competed in numerous activities. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball along with basketball, running and track. In her final game she was clearly the standout. According to her biography, she was an outside blocker as well as a middle hitter on the volleyball court throughout her time in high school. Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her the national Player of 1999. Her volleyball skills also brought her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman are doing what they do from 2017. But, Ross was a major player on the beach volleyball circuit before the pairing. Actually Ross has won a number of major tournaments in her career together with two other partners. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Kessy and Ross were a formidable force in the international arena, taking home the world championship in 2009 with each other. The duo would go through to take home a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. They were knocked out of the gold medal by the legendary duo of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she announced her retirement. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball trophy at the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. Ross was a college player at USC Trojans prior to beginning her pro career. She played during high school and in years prior to hitting the beach as a professional. Her experience at USC was quite impressive. In 2000 she was voted Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year, and was also an All-American. She also helped the Trojans to make it to their first Final Four. After her sophomore year she suffered a devastating personal tragedy, but was able to be named an All-American. In her last two seasons as a member of the Trojans' program, she led them to victory by winning successive national titles. She was a great volleyball player and won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player at the college level. Ross studied international relations at USC. Margie Ross wasn't able to witness her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. In 2001 when Ross was in her sophomore year in USC her mother passed away due to breast cancer. However, she continues to remember her deceased parent close and close. Margie is an inspiration on and off at the beach.
